Amd Epyc Dedicated File Storage Server

This AMD EPYC tower storage server provides centralized file storage for businesses, office teams, and organizations managing growing volumes of data. Configured with an AMD EPYC 9015 processor, 64GB DDR5 ECC Registered memory, two enterprise SATA SSDs, and four 12TB enterprise SATA hard drives, it offers a practical foundation for a business NAS, shared file server, backup repository, or data archive.

The system features a Tyan Tomcat HX S8050GM2NE motherboard and an AMD EPYC 9015 5th Generation processor with 8 cores, 16 threads, a 3.6GHz base frequency, and a 125W TDP. This configuration provides processing resources for file sharing, storage management, scheduled backups, compression, and background services. It is designed for organizations that need dedicated data storage with capacity for additional server applications.

With 64GB DDR5 ECC Registered server memory, the system supports file caching, storage services, and multiple concurrent users. ECC memory helps detect and correct supported memory errors, contributing to reliable operation during extended workloads. Memory upgrades can be selected as storage requirements and application demands increase.

Two 480GB 2.5-inch SATA enterprise server SSDs provide 960GB of combined raw capacity for Ubuntu Linux Server, storage management software, and supporting applications. These drives can be configured as a RAID1 mirror, providing approximately 480GB of capacity while allowing the system to continue operating if one SSD fails.

Four 12TB 3.5-inch SATA enterprise server HDDs provide 48TB of combined raw storage capacity for shared documents, media libraries, project files, backup sets, and long-term archives. Usable capacity depends on the selected storage configuration. A ZFS RAIDZ2 configuration provides approximately 24TB before formatting and filesystem overhead, with protection against the simultaneous failure of any two HDDs. Storage redundancy should be combined with separate backups for important business data.

The Rosewill THOR NAS Tower Server Chassis provides a tower enclosure for storage-focused deployments, with space for additional drives as requirements grow. A dedicated 4U SP5 CPU Cooling Heatsink Fan Assembly cools the processor, while a 500W enterprise server power supply powers the configured components. Final assembly requires verification of motherboard mounting, cooler clearance, power connectors, and airflow across the hard drives.

Ubuntu Linux Server 26.04 LTS 64-bit comes pre-installed, providing a flexible operating environment for Linux file storage, backup services, and storage administration. SMB and NFS file sharing can be configured to provide network access for compatible Windows, Linux, and other client systems. User permissions, scheduled tasks, and storage monitoring can be configured according to your organization’s requirements.

This AMD EPYC NAS server is well suited to centralized business file storage, document repositories, media archives, and disk-based backup storage. Separating the operating system onto SSDs keeps the HDD array available for bulk data, creating a straightforward storage layout for daily administration and future expansion.

Our server configurator allows you to select compatible memory upgrades, larger SATA SSDs, additional HDD capacity, and storage protection options. Network upgrades can also be selected where supported to meet higher file-transfer requirements. The configuration can be tailored to your available budget, required capacity, and business storage workflow.

Every server is professionally assembled, configured, and tested before shipment. Quality assurance includes checks of processor cooling, ECC memory, SSD and HDD operation, power delivery, and operating system configuration. Assembly and testing are included at no additional cost, and each system is backed by warranty coverage and professional technical support.
